Care Guide
Select your system type below to get started
01 — Washing
Washing Your Hair System Lace
- Use only the hair system brush — never your fingers — to wash your system in the shower.
- Wash your own hair every day using a sulfate-free shampoo. Daily washing with harsh shampoos can tangle and damage the lace base.
- Never apply shampoo or conditioner directly onto your hair system. Put product in your palm, work it into your bio hair first, then use the brush to carry it through the system.
- Lace bases are delicate — always brush in one direction only and use only the excess product, never applying directly.
- Rinse thoroughly with tepid water. Hot water weakens lace fibres over time.
- Avoid soaking the base — prolonged saturation can loosen the knots and cause premature shedding on lace systems.
02 — Drying
Drying Your Hair System Lace
- Gently press a towel down onto your hair system — never rub or wring.
- Allow to air dry partially before using heat. Lace is more sensitive to direct high heat than poly bases.
- When using a hairdryer, keep it on medium heat only and maintain distance from the base.
- Point the airflow in the direction of the hair — never against it — to protect the knotted base.
03 — Brushing
Brushing Your Hair System Lace
- Only use the designated hair system brush. No fine-tooth combs near the base.
- Always brush from the center outward to the front and sides — this prevents the lace perimeter from lifting.
- When detangling, work from the ends upward and hold the hair above the tangle to avoid stressing the knotted base.
- Excessive touching accelerates shedding — hands off throughout the day.
- Never force a tangle — work slowly with patience. Forced brushing tears lace.
04 — Styling
Styling Your Hair System Lace
- Always use water-based styling products — oil and alcohol-based products degrade the lace and loosen adhesive.
- Apply product to the hair only, keeping it away from the base perimeter and adhesive bond line.
- The less heat used, the longer your system will last.
- Avoid heavy waxes or pomades near the hairline — buildup on lace is difficult to remove and causes lifting.
05 — More Tips
More Tips Lace
- The gentler you are, the longer your system will last.
- Wash your face every evening to keep oils away from the hairline and adhesive bond.
- Do not shampoo or do heavy cardio in the first 24 hours after installation.
- Avoid touching your face with your hands — skin oils break down adhesive faster.
- Chlorine and saltwater will damage both hair and lace. Wear a tight swim cap or rinse immediately after.
- On sunny days, use a product with UV protection to prevent colour fade and lace degradation.
Lace care note: Lace bases are the most natural-looking but require the most careful handling. Treat your system like fine fabric — it responds beautifully to gentle, consistent care.
01 — Washing
Washing Your Hair System Skin
- Use only the designated hair system brush — never your fingers — to wash your system in the shower.
- Wash your bio hair every day with a sulfate-free shampoo.
- Never apply shampoo or conditioner directly onto your hair system. Work product into your palm first, lather through your real hair, then use the brush to distribute through the system.
- Skin (poly) bases can handle slightly more contact than lace, but still apply product in one direction only.
- Rinse with tepid water — hot water softens the poly base and can loosen adhesive bonds over time.
- If you notice adhesive residue buildup on the base perimeter, do not scrub — book a maintenance appointment for safe removal.
02 — Drying

- Gently press a towel down onto your hair system — no rubbing.
- Skin bases are more heat-tolerant than lace, but still use a medium heat setting only.
- Dry the hair before the base — excess moisture sitting against the poly base can affect adhesive longevity.
- Avoid directing heat directly onto the base itself — prolonged heat on poly can cause it to warp or thin over time.
03 — Brushing
Brushing Your Hair System Skin
- Only use the designated hair system brush.
- Always brush from the center outward to prevent edge lifting.
- The edges of skin (poly) bases are the most vulnerable — never tug or pull at the perimeter when brushing.
- Avoid over-touching — constant handling transfers oils that break down the adhesive bond on poly bases faster than lace.
- Never force tangles — work slowly from ends upward.
04 — Styling
Styling Your Hair System Skin
- Use water-based styling products only — oil-based products are particularly damaging to poly bases and adhesive.
- Keep all product away from the base perimeter.
- Minimize heat tool use — the less heat, the longer your hair system will last.
- Skin bases can look shinier than natural scalp if product migrates to the base — keep styling products in the hair only.

More Tips Skin
- The gentler you are, the longer your system will last.
- Wash your face every evening — facial oils are the #1 cause of premature bond failure on poly bases.
- Do not shampoo or do heavy exercise in the first 24 hours after installation.
- Keep hands away from your face throughout the day to avoid transferring oils to the bond line.
- Chlorine and saltwater accelerate base degradation. Rinse immediately or wear a swim cap.
- Use products with UV protection on sunny days to preserve colour and prevent poly base discolouration.
Skin base care note: Poly bases offer incredible durability and a seamless scalp appearance. Keeping the base clean of oils and product buildup is the single biggest factor in extending the life of your system.
